This is a remote canyon that has scarcely ever been photographed. Alan Brock and I spent 5 days back in these canyons on our backpacking trip, exploring and photographing them on large format film. What you can’t see here is that a person would appear quite small here, as the flame-shaped area in the center is at least 20-30 ft. tall, but it only forms the very bottom of the canyon where it is ironically at its widest! Further up, it constricts, which made it so incredibly dark that my eyes needed to adjust to see.
