A maple sapling missing most of its leaves towards the end of peak autumn color in a wash in Zion National Park forms an iconic contrast between fall and winter seasons, and allows the beautifully intricate structure of the tree to be seen, accented by splashes of vivid yellow color provided by autumn leaves.
