when I started discovering the numerous unnamed slots in Zion National Park, I was like a kid in a candy shop. This particular slot is one that I explored and found flooded by a recent rainstorm, leaving beautiful mud ripple patterns and crystalline water reflections where only a few days prior would only have been dry sand. Because the mud was very sticky and deep, like quicksand, it was impassable, which prevented anyone from disturbing the canyon with their footprints and left it perfectly pristine.
